CleanHacks - Privacy Policy

Projevity Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use the CleanHacks app.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Data: If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and an encrypted password. Anonymous users do not provide this information.
• User-Generated Content: Photos, videos, and text you upload when posting a cleaning hack or review.
• Camera & Media: When you use the "Snap to Clean" feature, the app requires access to your device's camera or photo library.
• Device & Usage Data: Timezone, device type, crash logs, and app interaction data to improve our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

• AI Processing: When you use "Snap to Clean" or the AI-powered search, your photo or search text is sent to Google Gemini through our AI service provider, Lovable AI Gateway, strictly to analyze your stain or question and generate cleaning suggestions. The app asks for your permission before anything is sent, the first time you use either feature.
• App Functionality: To display your saved shopping lists, user profile, and community posts.
• Support: To respond to bug reports and support tickets.

3. Third-Party Services

We utilize third-party services that may collect information used to identify you:

• Supabase (via Lovable Cloud): For database hosting, secure authentication, and backend functions.
• Google Gemini, via Lovable AI Gateway: Processes the photo from "Snap to Clean" or the text from AI-powered search to generate cleaning suggestions. Lovable AI Gateway only routes this request to Google's model and provides the same level of protection for your data.
• AdMob (Google): For displaying advertisements. These providers operate under their own privacy policies.

4. Data Deletion & Your Rights

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data.

• In-App Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and associated data (including posted hacks and reviews) at any time by navigating to Profile Settings > Delete Account within the app. This action is irreversible.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures (including secure Edge Functions and encrypted databases) to protect your data. However, no electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be reflected within the app.
